Ivory Coast president says In Niger West African nations have approved armed intervention  "as soon as possible",   following a meeting to discuss the coup.


Leaders of Ecowas regional bloc said At the meeting  they had agreed to deploy a "standby" military force.

Any details of the size of the force.they have not given.

 The use of force would be a''last resort''. said by Nigeria's President Bola Tinubu.


In Niger on July 26  A military junta seized power. 

 Ivory Coast's Alassane Ouattara said Ecowas afte the Ecows meeting  had intervened in African countries in order to restore constitutional order before.


He said "In Niger today we have a same situation  and I like to say that Ecowas cannot accept this,".


The Ivory Coast would provide a battalion of 850 to 1,100( men),  from Nigeria and Benin that solider said that would also be deployed.Said  mr Ouattara.


In Niger  Members had decided "to order the deployment of the Ecowas standby force to restore constitutional order ".Omar Touray, president of the Ecowas group said .


Further details  he did not set out of what the force it plan to assemble might look like or what action it might take.

In burkina and Mali that Ecowas would not allow the junta to stay in power during a transitional period like their counterparts .Abdel museh the bloc security commissioner told to the bbc .

However, He said the junta was not ready  to have direct contact with Ecowas, making negotiations  is difficult.


They are concerned about the safety of deposed and health president Mohamed Bazoum. Said by united state and united nation ,Under house arrest  who has spent  around more than two weeks.


Ahead of Thursday's meeting, had urged Nigerian President Tinubu against using force to oust the coup leaders.

Muslim clerics from northern Nigeria, which shares a long border with Niger, 




They will defend themselves against any intervention the coup leaders have warned. 


Last sunday Ecowas had issued a deadline to the Niger junta to restore the democratically-elected government, but it was ignored.

But speaking after the meeting that  "No option is taken off the table, which  has including the use of force as a last resort.he said that."No body else will do it for us if we don't  do it".
